The month of April,our last 2 weeks at Port Broughton ,Buck has 3 days of rest from fishing ,overcast and cooler till Thursday 3 rd,we took a trip to Kadina 46 kms south ,hit the bigger town and did some shopping at Woolworths,stocked up on some more vino and had a Cornish pastie at the bakery for lunch apparently the best pasties in Aussie and I'd say they live up to their mark!
This is a photo of Fay and Buck and their catch from Tuesday,crabs just out of the steamer and I helped Fay clean the 6 squid she caught! Fay was so happy after her day on the boat.Buck took a short cut on the way back and run a ground or bogged the boat,he had to get out and push it of the bottom,that will teach him!!!! Fay and Maurie left on Wednesday morn,hopefully we will see them again!!
Meant another couple in the park who have an Evernew van,an off roader,they are from Melbourne on vacation,Brian(pictured) originally from SA forgot how good crabs tasted but soon got into the hang of if! His wife Sandra took the photo. A few drinks,a bucket of crabs,perfect!! Thursday another 26 crabs and 4 squid! Barbecued the squid for dinner and froze some of the crab meat to use in my famous seafood crabs for Good Friday !
Spent Saturday walking, reading and Buck cooked his Japanese chicken wings and fried rice for the couple across the way. Reg who takes him out on his bigger boat and his wife Noreen,83 and 80,20 grand kids and 4 great grand kids,great couple from Warrnambool Vic !
The skies here at sunset are amazing !
A matter of minutes and it changes!
