WEDNESDAY21ST MAY Arrived at the Litchfield Tourist Park at 11.30am,125 kms south of Darwin,12kms from Batchelor NT,set up ,time for a swim,a steak on the barby and reading as unless we put up our satellite dish,TV doesn't exist,nor phone communication! That's right,NT,NO TELEPHONE,NO TV,NOT TODAY,NOT TOMORROW,NOT TUESDAY,NOT THURSDAY AND NOTHING THERE!
THURSDAY22ND MAY,Off on another adventure into the nationalark ,first stop the Giant Termite mounds,this is NT, nothing there!!!!
Off in the distance couldn't even walk near then,they face north south so as they don't get too much sun on them!
This one was better than all the others and we didn't notice it till we were back near the car!
Over 5 meters high and over 50 years old! Still alive!
Walked a bloody long way mainly up hill to get to the Cascade Falls,our first swim for the day! Water was cool and tasted sweet!!
Next Wangi Falls,absolutely beautiful,really dark and deep!
Cascading water fall that you can actually get in behind,water was extremely strong in front and there was a spray for about 20 meters out front!

Interesting bit of reading! Currents change completely during wet season and offcourse saltys come to visit!!
Bluey Rock Hole,this was special ,lots of deep pools and slippery,slidey rocks in between them.

Then someone else joined in,I could have sat there all day! Magic....
Packed our picnic lunch and we sat up on the rocks and ate it,our view! A glass of champagne would have been better than my Pepsi max! Had a great day,a few of the places are still shut because of road conditions but I think we have seen plenty!
FRIDAY23RD MAY... a day of rest,Buck washed the Chevy and we booked for dinner at the cafe.....I had barramundi which was lovely but the rest of the meal wasn't worth the money we paid and crappy wine as we couldn't take our own! SATURDAY 24 TH MAY..... On the toad early into Batchelor to get some phone service and then onto Adelaide River Inn ,caravan park behind the inn! Good phone reception but no tv signal so the dish is up,easiest set up so far!!! Another adventure tomorrow!
